John & Jan met and became an act and a couple in the late 1980's at Silver Dollar City, an 1880's Theme Park in the Ozark Mountains in Branson MO. John had been a resident performer at the park since the mid 70's introducing literally millions to the unique sounds of the Hammered Dulcimer. Jan, originally from California, came to the park as a guest artist displaying her paintings and was soon pursuing a second career as a performer doing original and traditional music with John.The two left the Park in 1994 to pursue other interests, and have now returned to the music scene from their new base in S.E. Iowa. They have just released three retrospective CD's of their past work, some featuring Jan's art on the covers, a new CD by John on the bowed psaltry, and are currently working on a release of all new material.
